Terms of Service

Last updated: October 20, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("you" or "Customer") and APPtitude, LLC, an Indiana limited liability company ("APPtitude," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to and use of GetPAID Business Management, including the website at getpaidpro.app, the web app, the worker portal, the links we send to subcontractors and property managers, and related services (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, clicking to accept, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business, and "you" includes that business.

Business use only. The Service is offered for business and professional use, not for personal, family or household purposes.

2. The Service

GetPAID Business Management helps businesses run job-site work. It lets you track crew hours and clock-ins, manage job sites and scopes of work, create quotes and invoices, record pay and expenses, track mileage, schedule routes, work with subcontractors and property managers, prepare tax summaries and Form 1099-NEC information, and use the Velo AI assistant. Optional features include Bank Matching and bank payments.

What the Service is not. The Service is a record-keeping and workflow tool. APPtitude is not a bank, payroll provider, payment processor, money transmitter, tax preparer, accountant or law firm. The Service does not run payroll, withhold or deposit taxes, or file returns or forms with any government agency. Nothing in the Service is legal, tax, accounting or employment advice.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You must give accurate, current information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account, including activity by anyone you invite. Tell us right away at support@getpaidpro.app if you believe your account has been used without permission.

Service area. Business and property manager accounts are offered only in the United States, and not currently in California or New York. You may not create or run an account if you, or the business you use it for, are located in or operate primarily from outside the United States or from California or New York. Workers, staff and virtual assistants that an account holder invites may sign in from any location; the account holder is responsible for following the laws that apply to the people it invites and the work they do. We may restrict account holder access from outside the service area, and we may suspend or close accounts that do not meet this requirement.

Personal logins. You may not share a login between people. Each worker, manager or staff member who needs access should have their own login through the Service's invite tools.

4. Your Workers, Managers and Other Users

You may invite workers, supervisors, managers, office staff, subcontractors, accountants and property managers ("Authorized Users"), and you decide what each one can see and do. You are responsible for their use of the Service, for their compliance with these Terms, and for removing access when someone should no longer have it.

You are responsible for having the right to enter information about your workers, customers and others into the Service. You are also responsible for giving them any notices the law requires, for example about time tracking or location features you turn on, and for getting any consents you need.

Worker classification is your decision. Whether someone is a W-2 employee or a 1099 independent contractor, what they are owed, and how and when they are paid are your decisions and your legal responsibility.

5. Free Trial

New accounts may start with a free trial for the period shown at sign-up. No payment details are needed to start. Some features, such as Velo Vision, are not part of the trial, and AI usage allowances are lower during it. When the trial ends, your existing records stay visible, but adding new records and using AI features are paused until you choose a paid plan.

6. Plans, Fees and Billing

Subscriptions. Paid plans and add-ons are billed monthly, in advance, at the prices shown when you subscribe or in your account settings, through our payment processor, Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for each renewal.

Add-ons. Optional add-ons are billed monthly on top of your plan, unless your plan includes them. Changes to plans and add-ons in the middle of a billing period are prorated as shown at checkout. An add-on ends when you remove it or when your subscription ends, and features that depend on it (for example, linked bank accounts) are disconnected at that time.

Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Fees already paid are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or we agree otherwise in writing.

Price changes. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email or in the Service. A new price applies from your first billing period after the notice period ends. If you do not agree, you may cancel before it takes effect.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may retry it, and we may pause or limit the Service until the balance is paid.

Taxes. Prices do not include taxes unless stated. You are responsible for applicable sales, use and similar taxes, other than taxes on APPtitude's net income.

7. Bank Payments (Stripe)

Where available, the Service lets a business pay its 1099 contractors and subcontractors, and lets property managers pay contractors, by bank transfer (ACH). Bank payments are provided by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates ("Stripe"), not by APPtitude. APPtitude never holds, receives or controls the funds.

Stripe terms. To send payments, you agree to the Stripe terms shown when you link your bank, including an ACH debit authorization. To receive payments, you set up an account with Stripe and agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement. Stripe may verify your identity and business, and may decline, delay, hold or reverse payments under its own rules. You authorize APPtitude to share information about you and your payments with Stripe, and to receive information from Stripe about your account and payments.

Authorizing a payment. A payment is sent only after you confirm it in the Service. By confirming, you authorize a debit from your linked bank account for the amount shown, plus any fee you pay. Bank transfers usually take several business days, and they can fail or be returned, for example because of insufficient funds or a closed account. If a payment fails, the related pay record is reversed.

Fees. Each bank payment carries Stripe's processing fee and a GetPAID fee, both shown in the Service before you confirm. Today that is 0.8% (capped at $5), plus 0.25%, plus $0.50 per payment, of which $0.25 is GetPAID's fee. The business sending the payment chooses whether it pays the fee, the recipient pays it, or the fee is split, and the amount each side pays is shown before the payment is confirmed. Fees are not refunded when a payment fails after it was submitted, except as Stripe's terms provide.

Your responsibilities. You are responsible for paying the right person the right amount, for disputes with the people you pay or who pay you, and for any amounts you owe Stripe. W-2 employees cannot be paid through the Service; pay them through your payroll provider. Use bank payments only to pay for work and services related to your business, and never for any purpose Stripe's terms prohibit.

We may pause or turn off bank payments for any account at any time, for example to prevent fraud or to meet Stripe's requirements or the law.

8. Bank Matching (Plaid)

If you add Bank Matching, you link a business bank account through Plaid Inc., and your use of Plaid is subject to Plaid's terms and End User Privacy Policy. Matches between deposits and invoices are suggestions based on amount and date. A deposit is never recorded as an invoice payment unless you confirm it, and you are responsible for confirming that a payment is genuine and correctly applied. Bank data may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable.

9. Velo and Other AI Features

The Service includes AI features, such as the Velo assistant, Velo Insights, voice quotes, Velo Vision, and scanning of receipts, scopes, odometers and letters. AI features can make mistakes. Their results, such as extracted amounts, suggested matches, drafted quotes, routes, schedules and answers, are starting points that you must review before relying on them or sending them to anyone.

Velo sends an invoice, sets a reminder or messages your crew only after you confirm. You are responsible for what you choose to send. Each plan includes a monthly AI usage allowance, and AI features may pause until the next month once it is used up.

You may not use AI features to create unlawful, deceptive or harmful content, or to try to get information about other accounts.

10. Your Data

You own your data. You keep all rights to the information you and your Authorized Users put into the Service ("Customer Data"). That includes records about workers, customers, jobs, hours, pay, invoices, receipts, photos and mileage. You give APPtitude a limited license to host, copy, process, transmit and display Customer Data only to provide, secure, support and improve the Service, and as described in the Privacy Policy.

Sharing you choose. When you send a work list to a worker, sub out work, send a quote or invoice, or share a scope with another GetPAID business or a property manager, you direct us to deliver that content to the recipient. You choose what to share and are responsible for having the right to share it. Workers never see prices. Subcontractors see only their own prices, never your customer prices or margins. A business that imports something you shared keeps its own copy, which you cannot recall.

Accuracy. You are responsible for the accuracy of Customer Data, including hours, pay rates, amounts paid, worker classifications and tax information. We do not verify what you or your users enter.

Pay records are permanent. To protect everyone, recorded payments cannot be quietly edited. Changes and reversals require a note, and the Service keeps the earlier record in its activity log.

Aggregate data. We may use de-identified, aggregated information about how the Service is used to operate and improve the Service. This information does not identify you, your business or any person.

Export. While your account is active, you can export many records at any time, for example invoices, tax summaries, 1099 information and closed jobs as PDFs.

11. Pay, Overtime and Tax Information

The Service calculates hours, gross pay, overtime estimates and tax summaries from the data you enter and the settings you choose, including the overtime rule you select (for example, federal rules or a supported state's daily overtime). These calculations are estimates for record-keeping. Wage and hour laws, overtime rules, local ordinances, union agreements and exemptions vary and change, and the Service may not reflect every rule that applies to you. You are responsible for paying your workers what the law requires.

Form 1099-NEC information, tax summaries, and mileage and expense reports are provided for convenience. We do not guarantee that they are complete, accurate or compliant with current IRS or state requirements. You are responsible for checking every figure, collecting worker tax information, and filing and furnishing forms on time.

12. Acceptable Use

You agree not to do any of the following, or let anyone else do them:

  • Use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive, including misclassifying workers, evading tax, wage or labor laws, or laundering money.
  • Access or try to access another account's data, or test, probe or get around the Service's security, permissions or usage limits.
  • Upload malware, content you do not have the right to share, or content that is abusive, harassing or infringes anyone's rights.
  • Send spam or unwanted messages through the Service, or add people to it without a legitimate business reason.
  • Scrape, overload or disrupt the Service, or use bots to access it except through features we provide.
  • Copy, reverse engineer or decompile the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Resell, sublicense or white-label the Service without our written agreement.

13. Communications

By creating an account, you agree that we may send you service messages by email, in the app and, if you turn them on, as phone notifications. These include sign-in and security messages, billing notices, payment confirmations, reminders you set, and notices of changes to these Terms. You can turn phone notifications off in the app. Service messages are part of the Service, so you can't opt out of them while you have an account. We send marketing emails only as the law allows, and you can unsubscribe from them at any time.

Emails you send through the Service, such as invoices, quotes and invites, go out on your behalf. You are responsible for their content and for having a business reason to contact the recipients.

14. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers. These include hosting and database providers, Stripe for billing and bank payments, Plaid for Bank Matching, an email delivery provider, an AI provider, map and address-lookup services, and the notification services built into your browser or phone. Your use of a third-party service may also be subject to its own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or what they do or fail to do. Links to other websites are provided only for convenience.

15. Our Intellectual Property

The Service belongs to APPtitude and its licensors and is protected by law. That includes its software, design, text, graphics and logos, and the GetPAID and Velo names. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription, under these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them with no obligation to you.

16. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect Customer Data, as described in the Privacy Policy. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never happen. You are responsible for securing your own devices and logins, and the access you give others. If we learn of a security incident affecting your Customer Data, we will notify you as the law requires.

17. Changes to the Service

We improve the Service regularly and may add, change or remove features. If we remove a major feature of your paid plan, we will try to tell you in advance. Features marked beta, preview or "coming soon" may change or end at any time and are provided as is. Maintenance may briefly interrupt the Service.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPTITUDE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. APPTITUDE ALSO DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, THAT CALCULATIONS, AI OUTPUT OR TAX INFORMATION WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.

19. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPTITUDE AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. THEY WILL ALSO NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR FOR WAGE, OVERTIME, TAX OR PENALTY AMOUNTS. THIS APPLIES TO EVERYTHING ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF APPTITUDE WAS ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. APPTITUDE IS NOT LIABLE FOR PAYMENTS PROCESSED, DELAYED, RETURNED OR REVERSED BY STRIPE, BANKS OR OTHER THIRD PARTIES. APPTITUDE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID APPTITUDE FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). THESE LIMITS APPLY TO ALL THEORIES OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain of these limitations. Where that is the case, the limits above apply as fully as the law allows.

20. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless APPtitude and its members, officers, employees and suppliers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, fines, penalties and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from any of the following:

  • Your or your Authorized Users' use of the Service.
  • Customer Data.
  • Your violation of these Terms or of any law, including wage, labor, employment, tax and privacy laws concerning your workers and customers.
  • Payments you send or receive.
  • Disputes between you and your workers, subcontractors, customers or property managers.

21. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access, with notice where reasonable, in any of these cases: you violate these Terms or don't pay; your use creates risk or possible legal exposure for us or other users; the law or one of our providers (such as Stripe) requires it; or we stop offering the Service.

After your account closes, you have 30 days to ask us at support@getpaidpro.app for help exporting your records. After that, we may delete Customer Data, except what we must keep by law or as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do survive it, including Sections 10, 11 and 18 through 25.

22. Dispute Resolution; Binding Arbitration; Class Action Waiver

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court.

22.1 Informal resolution first. Before starting arbitration, the party with a dispute must send the other a written description of it, and both parties must try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days. Send notices to us at support@getpaidpro.app.

22.2 Agreement to arbitrate. Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration rather than in court, except as stated below. This includes disputes about the formation, interpretation, breach or termination of these Terms, and about whether arbitration applies. This agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.

22.3 Procedure. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules and, where eligible, its expedited procedures, before a single arbitrator. It will take place in Indiana or, if both parties agree, by video or telephone. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.

22.4 Class action waiver. You and APPtitude each bring claims only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not combine more than one party's claims.

22.5 Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. Either party may also ask a court for an injunction to protect its intellectual property or to stop unauthorized access to the Service.

22.6 Opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. To do so, email support@getpaidpro.app with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out" and include your name, business name and account email. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Indiana.

22.7 Jury waiver and time limit. If a dispute is heard in court, you and APPtitude each waive the right to a jury trial. To the extent the law allows, any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred.

22.8 Severability. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim will be decided in court, and the rest of this section stays in force.

23. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the Federal Arbitration Act or other federal law applies.

24. General

Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any terms shown when you buy a plan or add-on are the entire agreement between you and APPtitude about the Service.

Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, or by operation of law.

Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages of internet, hosting, banking or payment networks, natural disasters or government action.

Severability and waiver. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be enforced as far as possible, and the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a right does not waive it.

Electronic agreement and notices. You agree that these Terms and any notices may be provided electronically, and that accepting them electronically is the same as signing them. We send notices to your account email or in the Service. You send notices to support@getpaidpro.app.

Independent parties. You and APPtitude are independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment, agency or fiduciary relationship.

25. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms, and we will post the new version with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will also notify you by email or in the Service at least 15 days before they take effect, unless the law or security requires a change sooner. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept them. If you do not agree, you may cancel before they take effect.
